First you all have to do is to switch your phone off .... After it completely off then first press the MIDDLE BUTTON while holding the MIDDLE BUTTON press and hold the SWITCH ON button , then a screen will appear having a list : reboot system now

: WIPE DATA/ FACTORY RESET

After getting this list go down by using the volume keys and just
select the WIPE DATA/ FACTORY RESET link (note:- screen touch function
will not work in this mode) ... The link will be selected by the
pressing the middle button! the phone will start the RESET/FORMAT
process.... After it gets reset it will ask you for a GMAIL id give your
gmail id it is necessary to give if you phone gets locked by pattern
lock or security code (note:- Make sure you connected to internet
connection while giving the gmail id)... the next will appear your
beautiful screeen of SAMSUNG GALAXY S DUOS ... OR
Dial the secret code *#0*#. Now you get a screen with title LCD TEST and below that you have lots of option to test various hardware parts of your phone such as speaker, sensor, lcd, etc
